Four Riders In A Town With One Horse

So I was gonna save a second entry for when I had something decent to show off but then I thought. "Hell if wait for that we'll be here 'til the rapture." So for the time being, here's a bin.

The Bin in Question.

Not a great screen shot...not a great bin either. Thing is it was going pretty well until the texturing stage then everything kind of turned on me. The textures just a mess and bits of it ended up that blurry that you could swear you've developed cataracts. It's orange though and that's all I really wanted.

There are no poets in the bitter business

My Grandad allus said to me that when meeting someone for the first time you should state your name and business. Since this is an introduction of sorts I suppose that's my first port of call. My name's Liam Proudman and my business, well, hopefully I'll know that before the year's out.
As much as I'd prefer to remain an enigma, my course structure requires me to associate with all sorts of folk so I may as well get a few key details out of the way. Here's my top five.

  • Yorkshire born and bred. (Tha' can allus tell.)
  • Can't live/love/sleep/drink without the blues.
  • Weakness for lasses who've been kissed by fire. (Red hair for those of you who don't know anything about the culture of the free folk of Westeros.)
  • Favourite book: The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks
  • Shares a room with two beautiful guitars by the names of Marceline and Cassie.

Guess I can get on with the more relevant course details now. I mean how did I actually end up here? Temporal rift? Kidnapping? The M1 Southbound? I don't really remember. What I do recall though is spending a long time not knowing what to do with myself but then one day while flicking through a digital art based magazine it dawned on me that I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Become the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic, unfortunately it turns out somebody already did that. So, I started drawing nonsense and here I am.
Turns out this course is a bit more in depth than that though. Seriously who'd have thought an art course would have so much drawing. In the past fortnight I've noticed 3d modelling is going to take my soul from me; decided I hate bridges; met some...interesting people and discovered I'm even worse at drawing than I thought I was. But hey you can't make an omelette without a few heart wrenching realizations of your own inadequacy.

N' al tell thi' summat else fo' nowt, coming here is probably the best decision I've made in years.
